Between Versions is a grounded, evidence-informed hypnotherapy practice supporting people with gut–brain symptoms, anxiety, stress-related patterns and meaningful periods of personal change.

A short, no-pressure conversation to explore whether this support is the right fit.

What Between Versions is here to support

Between Versions was created to support people who feel stuck in patterns that are difficult to change through insight alone. Sometimes it shows up physically, through ongoing gut symptoms, urgency, bloating, abdominal discomfort, or symptom-related anxiety. Sometimes that looks like stress, anxiety, overthinking, confidence issues, or a period of life that feels heavier than it should.

The work is designed to help people understand what is happening beneath the surface, calm the responses reinforcing the issue, and create change that feels more steady and usable in daily life.

Gut-Directed Hypnotherapy

Support for IBS, bloating, urgency, diarrhoea, constipation, flare-ups, gut-related fear and the gut-brain connection.

Best for people whose symptoms affect daily life, confidence and a sense of safety.

Stress & Anxiety Support

Support for overthinking, nervous system overload, emotional reactivity, anticipatory anxiety and feeling constantly on alert.

Best for people whose body keeps reacting even when they are trying to stay calm.

Patterns, Confidence & Change

Support for repeating patterns, self-sabotage, identity shifts and feeling stuck between where you are and how you want to live.

Best for people who understand the pattern logically, but still feel pulled back by it.

About Vanessa

I’m Vanessa Camelo, founder of Between Versions and a clinical hypnotherapist with a grounded, structured approach to change. My work focuses on helping people shift the patterns that keep them stuck mentally, emotionally, and physically — especially when those patterns continue even after they understand the issue logically.

I use hypnotherapy alongside practical tools to support nervous system regulation, subconscious pattern change, and more effective responses in everyday life. My approach is calm, evidence-informed, and tailored to the person in front of me rather than forced into a one-size-fits-all process.

I also have a particular interest in the gut–brain axis and gut-directed hypnotherapy, especially where stress, fear, urgency, anticipation, or nervous system reactivity are shaping the experience of symptoms over time.

Clients often come to me when they are doing the “right things,” but their system is still reacting in a way that keeps them stuck.

How I approach the work

Support is always tailored to the person and the issue, but the process often moves through three core stages.

Recognise

We identify what is happening, how the pattern is showing up, and what may be reinforcing it — whether that is stress, fear, urgency, avoidance, symptom-related anxiety, or a repeated internal response.

Regulate

Using hypnotherapy and practical techniques, we work with the nervous system and subconscious response underneath the issue, so the mind and body can begin responding differently over time and more consistently.

Respond

The aim is a more steady and usable response in daily life — with more clarity, confidence, ease, and less of the old pattern shaping decisions, behaviour, or symptoms. So change feels more natural and easier to sustain.

My work is grounded in formal training, continued professional development, and a practical, evidence-informed approach to change.

Working within scope

My work does not replace medical, psychological, or dietary care. I work within clear professional boundaries and make referrals when needed.
